Question

Audio latency in CC 2018

First time using Adobe Audition. Lots of other Adobe product use but having a few issues.

Tools:

Macbook Pro 15-inch, Early 2013 - 2.7 GHz Intel Core i7\

PreSonus AudioBox 44VSL mixer

Micro AMP HA 400 Headphone amplifier.

Basically trying to record a four-person podcast into my Macbook. Currently testing with two microphones and having a pretty bad latency issue. Have been reading a and testing for an hour with no luck.

Also, notice that lots of the "fixes" on the Adobe pages I found don't have the same pathways or options in the new Adobe CC 2018 which makes it hard to trouble shots.

Any help is greatly welcome.

Perhaps this is another case of the issue described in this FAQ: https://forums.adobe.com/thread/2410645

Possibly... possibly not. One thing you could try is uninstalling the current 2018 version and installing the previous 2017 one instead, and see if that alters anything (which it could well do). This should be available to you using the CC app.

If this does make a difference - and I suspect it well might - then you'll have to wait for the forthcoming patch to the new version, which will address a number of performance-related issues. No we don't have a date for that yet, I'm afraid; it has to go through some rather comprehensive testing!
