Audio output not working with MacOS High Sierra

I use a Mackie Big Knob Studio monitor controller to switch between headphones and monitors on a 2013 Mac Pro.

The Mackie BKS controller is a USB plug and play device. It just works... or did.

I updated to High Sierra (unwittingly) and discovered that my current setup no longer works. The Mackie USB still shows up in the Output/Input list in System Preferences/Sound/ but, selecting it does nothing. No sound comes out. I do get sound if I use the default system sound.

I realize this isn't exactly an Adobe Audition problem... but, I was hoping someone in the Audio Engineering world has either run in to a similar problem, or is willing to help me out.

Mackie's forum is non-existent—but I don't believe they caused the problem.
I posted on Apple's forum, the agency responsible for the problem, but haven't heard anything back.

I really prefer the Adobe Forum community, so I'm hoping someone else here might have some insights on this.

You're right that their forum is lacking, but how about posting on their Facebook page? It looks like someone from the company monitors it, so you might get a quick response even if all they tell you is they are aware of the problem and looking into it.
