Audio recorded directly in Audition disappeared/went offline

Hi. I usually record the intro/outro to my podcast separate from the interviews I do, and then drag everything into Audition as separate files. Today, I recorded the intro/outro directly into my Audition multitrack session, then pulled in the interview and music. Everything seemed to be going fine but now it says that the audio I recorded in Audition is offline and it's just a flat line. What happened? How can I get it back? This isn't a file saved offline somewhere else. Thanks for your help.

Since recording in the Multitrack view is direct to file so should still be on your PC. It normally goes in a SessionName_Recorded folder along side your .sesx session file all inside the SessionName folder. Where on your system do you save your session files to? If it isn't a local hard drive but somewhere on a network Audition may temporarily lose track of it. If you go to the Files panel and move over to the right Audition should show the path where it thinks the files are stored. If you don't see the File Path column right click on the column header and add a tick to the Folder Path box from the drop down menu to enable it to show in the Files panel.
