Audio recorded directly in Audition disappeared/went offline

Hi. I recorded a podcast directly into my Audition multitrack session and everything seemed to be going fine, but suddenly everything disappeard and it says that the audio I recorded in Audition is offline and it's just a flat line. What happened? How can I get it back? This isn't a file saved offline somewhere else. Thanks for your help
