Audio Track Sped-up post recording

I've been recording a podcast for a few months now,  typically I record 4 tracks simultaneously for about 1hr-1.5hrs. I've never had any real issues until now. After recording this weekend I realized (in post-production) that some of my audio is sped up and noisy. Obviously the tracks are significantly shorter, but my first thought was to check my undo-history to see if it was my fault.

There was one difference that I remember during this recording and that is at one point I paused the recording for a bathroom break. I'm not sure if this could be the source of the issue but I would really like to recover this audio, or at the very least document the cause so that I may avoid it in the future.

Please help.

How sped up is the audio, what length is it now and what should it have been? What audio interface did you use to get the audio into your Mac and Audition? Did you really just Pause the recording or actually Stop it and re-Start it after the break?

The full recording is about "53min 44secs" now. It should have been closer to about "1hr 23min"

The audio speeds up around 19:30:148 into the initial recording and resumes regular speed about 4min before pausing the recording. Once resumed, the audio track is at regular speed until about "1min 10sec" into the post-pause recording. There is one other point where the audio is at normal speed for about a minute but then finishes at the sped-up speed.

What audio interface did you use to get the audio into your Mac and Audition?

I used a Tascam 4x4 interface

I'm honestly not sure if I pressed STOP or PAUSE.
