Audiobook preparation

I want to make sure that Audition can compile my audiobook. I made a wav file in Audition that is around 2 hours 42 minutes long but when I play it back it stops after 2 hours. The whole book would be around 10 hours. Can I do all this by continuing to Open and append more material? Or should I have separate files and then link them together?

If it is going to be that long, it will be unwieldy if it's all on one file, even if it would fit, which I doubt. The norm is to have a file per chapter for the original, and not assemble it until publication in a compressed format.

Thanks for that. I will start creating separate files for each chapter. These will be text-to-voice files—not allowed by ACX, but I will try to find a site that will do this. Kmac
