Audition 3.0 message: "An error has been detected with a required application library..."

Been using AA 3.0 for years on Windows 7 machine. Attempted to open it up today and was greeted with this message:

"An error has been detected with a required application library and the product cannot continue. Please reinstall the application."

I uninstalled, reinstalled, restarted, blah blah blah, several times, to no avail. I'm out of ideas. Any suggestions?
