Audition : Beta version solves one problem and creates another

Running Audition 13.07 and an issue (previously reported here) with saved files become "offline" and need to re -associate files before closing session.  Post said to use the Beta version of Audition which had solved that problem.  It did solve that problem but now the Beta version freezes and crashes frequently and I am losing edits in the sessions.  I report on the crashes but working like this is untennable with the amount of work I have to do.  Any help is appreciated.  **and BTW I am operating an older iMac with iOs High Sierra 10.13.6

    I'm in the same boat as you.

    I've moved to Beta because it was so exhausting having to repeat hours of work. My workload was blowing out. Beta fixed the offline files, but now experiencing other crashes. The idea of rolling back to any previous version of the program is also untenable as I'm yet to experience one without fatal errors. It's exhausting.

    I've rolled back to v13.0.7.38 as the constant crashing was driving me insane (yes some may think it would only be a short trip) but at least that has been stable and I have been able to get a number of projects out the door.

    I have also found this to be the case - I have updated another bug on the beta site in relation to this but will post another to highlight the situation

    If the current release and the beta are both causing problems, then the most sensible thing to do (if you actually want to get any work done...) is roll back to the previous version.

    So far, the **new** update on the Beta is running strong for one hour

    If the beta version is crashing, then you should report that on the Audition public beta site, where the devs will see it.
