Audition CC 2017 Upgrade changed all of the previously saved mixer track volume settings on my saved session files. Anyone else have this issue or know of a fix?
When I got the word to update Adobe Creative Cloud to CC 2017, I clicked on, "Update All" of which Audition was one of the affected titles. A day or two later, when I launched Audition to do some editing on a song my writing partner and I have been working on for a year, I immediately noticed that Audition no longer functioned through the ASIO/USB buss to my mixer and power amp to my studio monitors, but instead the sound came through the PC's sound card on the ASUS motherboard to the Klipsch Pro Media System I have connected to my editing PC. After resetting the ASIO buss and re-launching Audition, the sound routing was corrected and now coming through the monitor via the ASIO/USB interface and mixer. However, a much worse issue was then revealed! Nearly every previously-saved fader volume level on the Audition virtual mixer was now different than where I had last saved it prior to the upgrade. I could barely hear the vocals any longer among other things. Many fades were now set at Unity Gain and much too loud. I then loaded a different session file that had not been altered in month and it too had been drastically altered! How can this be? I do an upgrade and all of the work I've done over the past few years is trashed {130+ songs)? I tried resetting the first session and the volume then seemed about right, but now some of the tracks sounded distorted as if they are being over-modulated somehow even though the VU meters indicated otherwise. Has anyone else who did the upgrade experienced this issue? Is Adobe aware of this? I sure hope they can do something and issue a patch soon or I may have to rethink my Adobe license renewal in a couple of weeks. HELP PLEASE!
