Audition CC 2018 crashing when using ripple delete

I am trying to edit a podcast but every time I use ripple delete, Audition crashes. Every time. I am happy to send someone, anyone, the crash report. I just can't figure out what's going on.

I am also having this poroblem. It is giving me a fatal error, can't delete file. Any help would be appreciated.
