Audition CC 2018 trial skips

I downloaded the trial for Audition CC 2018 and can't get a recording to play back without skipping and pausing... basically acting like a scratched CD.  I spent over an hour with support rummaging through my PC, but he couldn't fix it.  My Audacity is having no issues at all.  I just think the Audition is a better program based on reviews and I would have loved to have at least been able to compare.  My trial is now over and I never got to actually try it.  Others have complained about this and I found no actual solutions.

Hi, IMO Audition is "streets ahead" of Audacity in terms of audio quality and facilities.  I think you would be surprised at the difference!

Unfortunately, you've posted after your trial has expired, apparently.  Had you chosen to post earlier, whilst still in the Trial period, it is very likely that one or other of the very experienced users of Audition - I do not include myself in that list - would have been able to help you to get AA running smoothly on your computer.

So, I suppose the question to ask is, why have you posted to the forum?

The reason I posted, is because I am hoping to help someone else.  Audition's trial is only 5 days.  I tried to get it to work, checked this forum first, googled it and finally tried Support.  As I stated previously, he spent a long time trying to fix it, to no avail.  Then he was escalating it, and I waited for someone to contact me, either via email or phone as instructed by Support.  I got an email very late the next day and replied the next.  I got no reply back, so now I am expired.  I never heard of a 5-day trial and did not know it was so short.  What I've played with, in between the skipping, sounds so much better than my Audacity and the very fact of using Audition also looks more professional on my website.

No that can't be correct. AFAIAA all Adobe trial software is valid for 30 days and is fully functional.

Also we would need to know a lot more info about your computer system before we could suggest any remedies to your problem, such as O.S., type of audio interface and drivers used.
