Audition crashed my file, and now it won't open

First off follow Audition Crashed. Now what?

Whether you can get your file back depends on how you were recording it in Audition. If you were recording in Multitrack view then it is very likely that your audio .wav file still exists on your computer. It should be in the xxx_Recorded folder in the same folder as your Session file. If you were recording in Waveform view then I'm afraid that it is probably gone for ever since the audio is recorded to a temporary file until you stop recording and Save the audio. If Audition crashed then the temp file will be gone unfortunately.
