Audition crashes when I preview noise removal

hi

I just upgraded to the latest Audition 2017 CC, and I can't

apply a Noise Removal filter without the program crashing

and disappearing.

It never did this before in all the versions I've used.

The pattern is this: I capture a Noise print sample, I open

the Noise Reduction filter, then I press the "play" arrow to

preview the NR settings, and the program simply disappears.

It's happened 3 times in a row.

I'm on a 2011 iMac with 12 G of Ram, and lots of HD space.

OSX / el capitan 10.11.16.

thanks for any suggestions.

As for the many other similar threads on the Forum this is a known bug.

Why would you release something with a known bug(s)? Now I'm in deep water not getting these projects out. Why Adobe? Is there another alternative?

It wasn't a known bug.  Take 15 minutes for the rollback and your deep water will dry up.

And again, like a broken record (anybody remember those?), I will add - back up your preferences folder completely and make sure you have a full copy that you can get to again UNLESS you have no unique presets and settings that you need to preserve.  If you do the rollback without a backup, they will all be gone!!!!
