Audition does not get Input from Mac

hey there!

i try to record on mac book air m1 2020 to audition.

eventhough i seem to do everything rigth, there is NO SIGNAL comming into audition from mac.

neither from inbuilt mic nor from an extern one.

but looking to mac (systempreferences) i can see the signal of the mics.

why does it not come to audition?

i selected evrything like told...

Since it's a Mac, you probably need to go to your Security settings and allow Audition to see your mic - this has tripped up a number of people!
