Audition doesn't have enough volume

Hello!!

So I've been experiencing this problem since I first started using Audition, but I guess I never paid too much attention to it...

Happens that the volume of my Audition is waaayyy too low, like I put my speakers to 100% and I still can barely hear the audio, when other programs (ex.: Windows Media Player) have just the right amount of volume -actually 100% is a lot of volume for those apps. I also plug the PC to my Home Theater and still the same situation. It even happens when I plug in my USB microphone that allows me to listen to everything directly using a headphones jack built-in.

I checked the "Volume Mixer" in Windows and the program has full volume, so I know the problem is not there. And I also know that my tracks have the right volume gain because when I export them to a MP3 file (per example) and I play them on any player, it sounds well, without that lack of volume.

Any suggestions on what could possibly be happening? I hope I can fix this soon so I can enjoy my tracks at full volume, haha.

What are using as an Audio Interface/Sound Card? The built in one on your computer or an external specialist one?

Within Audition there are only a couple of things that can reduce the volume. If you're in Multitrack mode, check the Mixer screen and make sure the faders there (including the Master) haven't been pulled down to a lower level. You can also check the level setting for individual tracks--these can be adjusted by the knob in the control panel at the left end of each track. Volume can also be lowered by the use of "volume envelopes" (the yellow horizontal lines on each track). The normal position for these is about 2/3 of the way up, i.e. a bit about the centre line.

If you're in waveform view, the options are more limited. Depending on your settings, there's likely a small box with a volume control that floats around and can be positioned wherever you put it in the Waveform screen. Beyond that though, there's not much you can do in Audition's Waveform view to change levels.

However, since you say your MP3 recordings exported from Audition are the correct level, I have to guess that the issue is somewhere downstream from Audition in your sound card/interface. A lot of this have hidden ways to adjust sound, hence the question in my opening line.
