Audition Exports with Extra in Beginning

This is part question and part frustration.

I export mp3 files from Premiere to edit in Audition. Then when I export final mp3s from Audition and put it in Premiere, it's always out of alignment by 1+ frames so everytime I have to figure that out and get it in alignment.

In attachment, the green marker on the audio file is where the audio lines up to the beginning of the original Premiere audio.

Is this fixable or is this an Adobe issue?

Thanks y'all.

I'm amazed that it's only a frame out, quite frankly. You are sending a compressed file (all MP3s are compressed, by their very nature) to Audition, which then has to decode this to wav - because that's its native format - and when you've finished with it, it has to re-encode it back to an MP3.

I haven't done any timing checks on MP3 files in Audition since the encoder was changed to LAME, but other people in the past have complained about timing issues before. This is most likely to be an MP3 issue, as Audition's timing with wav files is sample-perfect.
