Audition Hangs During Batch Processing

Using the Windows version of Audition, latest build 22.2.0.61. I'm batch processing a set of files, some .M4A and some .OGG. The batch process will get about half way and then simply stop. No error codes. This computer has 128GB of RAM and a fast processor, so that's not the issue. Can't seem to find a cause.

any ideas?
