Best thing is to follow the advice from the FAQs Audition Crashed. Now what? However since CS6 is no longer officially supported you may not get an answer from Adobe on this one. But Audition's log files may give a clue as to what caused the failure. The last and previous logs are stored in Audition's settings folder  'C:\Users\"username"\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Audition\5.0\logs'

Note that CS6 settings are in the 5.0 folder, as that was it's official version number.
