Audition is uninstalled, but keeps trying to run the uninstall program. Help!

Hello, 

I recently upgraded my version of Audition to the newest version and uninstalled a previous version. However, once I did that, it asks me to keep my old settings. I said no, and it uninstalled. But then... 5 minutes later (and weirdly sometimes when I opened completely unrelated programs), CC pops up on my screen, overtaking whatever I am working on, and asks AGAIN if I want to keep my old settings... for the older version I just uninstalled. So... I did the same thing... and then it begun Uninstalling... again! I'm confused. So I checked my file locations and back end installers, and everything was uninstalled.

So I ignored it... and it happened again. This time I decided to KEEP my old settings... SAME. THING.

Anybody have any idea what is going on? I am in a time loop of uninstalls... I need an adult...
