Hi! I have a brand new Lenovo Thinkcentre M80q gen3 with Windows 11. Using a Steinberg ur-44 sound card, but Audition is unstable when I record. It stops in the middle of recording. It may vary over time. It can take 30 minutes or 2 hours. This happens on both my computers. Have 2 exactly the same. Now I have gone back to Windows 7, it works fine there. Can anyone help?

I don't know definitively what it is, but there's a very high probability that this is a Windows 11 problem. It certainly shouldn't happen - recording is supposed to have the highest priority in the system when it's happening. But it's stories like this that stop me 'upgrading' from Windows 10, which has no problems with recording at all.

If you want to find out specifically what's causing this, you will almost certainly need to run some form of process monitoring, but there is one other thing; - when it stops recording, what happens? Does Audition crash? If it does, then the crash log will have good information about what process is causing it, I think.
