Audition keeps crashing - why Adobe hasn't fix this bug yet?

Every so often (8 times out of 10) when I leave Audition with my project open and then come back to it - it FREEZES.

Not only that - but every click anywhere in it switches the window to another open app on my PC (Windows 64), often closing or opening applications. ANY app.

What is  going on here??

The only way to fix it is to shut is down hard from  the Task Manager - which creates problems, and if there is file not saved - all my editing changes will be gone when I reopen it.

Does anyone know  what is causing this? Please help as this persistent bug is driving me insane.

If this was going to be an Adobe problem, then everybody would be suffering from it, and quite frankly, they aren't - or we'd have heard about it big time.

In order to begin to figure out what is causing this, at a bare minimum we'd need to see the Audition crash log. You can get access to that from the Help menu, and the best thing to do is to copy the text and put it into a post in this thread. But I'll tell you now that this is going to be a problem with your machine...

I confirm that I also have the exact same problem. Even when I was using Catalina with Audition 2022 sometimes it happened but now ALWAYS.

I'm using a Mac M2, Ventura OS with Audition 2024 and 2023.

Yes, I think you are right.  If no one else has ever reported this issue on this forum, it's unlikely that it is Audition's fault.

I suspect that the issue is with Windows.

oh, well.

thanks
