Audition NEWBIE: No sound on Mac Catalina. FIXED

checked preferences. Internal speakers on and they work.

But audition SHOWS audio but I can't hear it. And my hearing is OK, at least today. I saw a support post that said go to Edit/audio hardware or something like that. There is no such option on this version of Audition on my mac

In system preferences, in sound, I tried checking and un-checking the "mute" box. That's all it took.  SOUND.
