Audition not able to import WAV

I have a MKV file with Dolby Pro Logic 5.1 surround sound type audio, and I converted it to a WAV to put it into Adobe Audition, but now it won't let me import the WAV file.

 

I need help with this immediately!

Since Audition works natively with WAV files, then however you converted this clearly hasn't created a legitimate one. And why that would be rather depends upon what was in the MKV container in the first place. So without knowing more about your file and how you converted it, we can't go any further, I''m afraid.
