Audition not recording

Question

Hey everyone.I had been recording for most of the morning, closed an audition session to start my next recording and now it wont record any audio from my focusrite. my focusrite is picking up the mic, i have the device input set up right, I haven't changed any settings since I last successfully recorded and I have restarted my laptop and uninstalled and reinstalled audition and nothing has helped, it does record from my laptop mic though. Does anyone know what might be going on?

You probably need to give Audition permission to access the focusrite - it's a security setting generally when this happens. Why it would reset is anybody's guess, although uninstalling and reinstalling may have something to do with it...
