Audition not recording but all settings apparently correct

Hello,

I am using a 2019 mac with 40 GB ram and Somoma 14.5.

I am using Audition 20.0.3.3.

Suddenly I can't record. The Audio Hardware and Audio mapping seem correct but it won't record.

I can record in Audacity with no problem.

I have reinstalled Audition twice.

Any ideas of where the problem could be? I not an IT expert but not a beginner either.

Any help would be very much appreciated.

I am not a Mac user but there are a number of threads in the forum where users have experienced similar, if not the same problem.

In most, if not all cases, this was caused by a Mac security or permissions setting which prevents your "mic" accessing Audition.
