Audition opens session but then immediately freezes

I have an Audition session that I've been working on for a very long time. 

I can open the session and the backups, but they all immediately freeze upon opening. 

My other song sessions are working fine. It's just this one. 

It almost acts like it's searching for files that can't be found, but it never gives me an error. Just freezes idefintely. Are there temporary files stored somewhere that can be deleted? 

Any help would be appreciated because this project has over 50 hours put into it.
