Audition plays back with popping and closing when using Antelope Audio AFX2DAW

I've been recording with an Antelope Orion Studio Synergy Core interface on Windows 10. If I add any of the Antelope Audio effects (AFX as they call them) to the tracks, Audition will start playing back the track with a rhythmic popping noise and then close itself.

Is there a way to fix this? I've already set my Thunderbolt buffer to 512 and made sure everything was recording/playing back at 48KHz, not with conflicting sample speeds. 

Normal recording and playback work great. The Audition effects have no issues. It's just when trying to utilize the Antelope AFX.
