Audition settings issue

I have to say that I'm not quite sure how we'd know - you haven't even told us if it's a Mac or a PC! But generally, when things like this happen it's because you've got some sort of settings protection operating, that automatically restores what was there before when you shut either the machine, or the app you are using. Often this is a 'facility' offered by virus protection software...
