Question

Audition Slow to Open After Reboot

I’m running Audition on a powerful computer - 9900x 12 Core processor, 64 GB DDR5, Samsung 9100 NVMe SSD, Windows 11, etc…  The Windows, Creative Cloud, and Audition installations are clean and updated, as are all drivers, etc.

Audition takes close to fifteen seconds to open the first time I run it after startup or reboot.  After that, it opens almost instantly.  I’ve performed a Shift startup which resets everything, and a full uninstall/reinstall.  I’ve also cleared the cache.  The issue remains.

Any ideas?

The first time you run Audition in a session, it does a security check (via the CC app). Subsequent re-opening of it within the session doesn’t apparently require the same checks to be performed, so it’s faster. This is a consequence of you not ‘owning’ the software as such - you need to be checked to make sure your licence to use it is up to date.

License information is up to date.  I use Audition at work and at home, and I’m not having this issue at work.  Strange...

I think that if you have an ‘enterprise’ multiple-use situation at work, the start-up checks are different. It’s not about up-to-datedness - it just takes time! I should also point out that it’s been like this for a while...
