Audition Speed Pitch
In Audition, I want to listen to my audio at twice the speed, so I use the controls J, K, and L. When I fast forward with L, the audio sounds high-pitched like a chipmunk, and played in normal speed it goes back to sounding normal. However, I can't really process what is being said at x2 speed and am forced to choose to listen in normal time.
My question: Is there a way I can listen to my audio at x2 speed but still keep the original pitch in tact?
To clarify, I don't want the final product to be sped up. I just have a lot of audio to listen to, so I'd like to do that sped up, but still be able to understand what's being said.
For example, there was an update in Premiere that lets you listen to the audio at x2 the speed and the pitch integrity remains the same and doesn't sound high. So is this something I can edit in Preferences for Audition, or is this an update that only Adobe can fix?
I apologize if this question has already been answered, but I don't know how else to best phrase my question for search results.
Thank you.
