Audition takes forever to mixdown but only 17% of RAM and 22% of CPU are being used?

Yeah, I don't see why, when I have a 6-core processor and 64 gigs of RAM, that Audition needs to take 30 minutes to mixdown a 42 minute long file.  It is neglecting about 80% of both resources.  Why can't it utilize higher resources to do the job faster?  Is there a setting I can change?

What ultimately determines the speed of processing isn't the RAM or the processor, but the speed that all that data can be read from your HD. Two things you can do: swap your HD for a SSD - they always go quicker, and secondly, use the track pre-rendering system (the lightning bolt) on tracks with a lot of effects, especially the intensive ones like reverb.
