Audition will not record audio, even when I change hardware preferences

Hello there!

I'd love this answered ASAP. I have a Macbook Pro laptop that I am using to record stuff on for voice acting. My XLR microphone is connected to a Focusrite Scarlett Solo interface. I made sure that everything is connected properly and I can hear myself when I am recording. Even when I changed the hardware preferences to make sure that the Scarlett Solo will record my audio, I do not see anything on my screen when I am trying to record. Can anyone help me out?

Thanks in advance,

cfreedbe

Since this is a Mac, have you checked the Privacy settings for the mic on your computer?  There are a number of posts in this forum where users have experienced similar problems, almost always resolved by checking those settings.

The transport does not move and I am recording in Waveform view.

I am still having this problem and have not received a satisfactory response to my question. If anyone can help me solve this issue, I would very much appreciate it.

Does it actually record (in other words, does the transport move)? And is this in Multitrack or Waveform view?
