Question

Audition will not stop recording internal audio

So for my college class I had to record something from the Internet, I done it and it's all good.

Now I'm trying to record vocals but it keeps recording the instrumental track too, I only want the vocals recorded, I have no idea how to fix this?

I have tried the audio hardware settings but nothing seems to work?

So how do I stop audition from recording internal audio in the PC?

Probably all that's wrong is that you still have 'what you hear' set as an input option. One of the things it hears is any playback of previous tracks from Audition, which it sounds like you've got. Try selecting an input that is just the mic you want to use, instead of the one you needed earlier.

Yeah mate, I have put it back to my microphone input, I have disabled stereo mix and everything but it still seems to be a problem
