Question

Best USB Audio Interfaces for Audition

Hi all, I recently purchased a Behringer UMC 1820 to use as my interface as my old USB mixer is outdated. It does not seem that the UMC 1820 is compatible with Audition (according to Behringer support) The Audio Device would constantly change every few minutes and could not get it to be stable.

Can you all provide some good USB Interfaces you use? Especially any that are Rack mounted?

Looking forward to see what others are using as an Interface.

Thanks

Jay

I use a FocusRite Interface, it works great with Audition. I've read great things about the SSL Interface as well. Alot of good Software's included with both.

Why not look at this Focusrite web page which allows you to compare the two different interfaces?

Behringer's driver certainly doesn't seem to be up to the mark, according to several people - and where it fails is exactly where Audition wouldn't like it to - hardware and sample rates.

There are lots of alternatives that don't have any difficulty at all - in fact most don't - but without knowing what your budget or requirements are, it's hard to make a recommendation. For instance RME make an excellent rack-mounted interface called the Fireface UFX (more than one version, in fact), but they aren't exactly cheap. They work absolutely fine, though - I have one.
