best way to adjust levels of two tracks

I used two mics, connected to one video camera, to record a live music performance. The camera operator manually adjusted the sound levels on the camera during the performance, resulting in the two tracks having different levels during some of the recording. Is there a way to auto adjust the levels so they match? I know how to do it manually, but it is so tedious. I'm not an engineer, so some sort of auto feature would be helpful. You can see the difference in the levels in the attached photo. Thanks for any assistance.
