Can a Track send its data to Master w/o Monitoring?

Hey, everyone!

I'm trying to use Audition in a Live-environment. So far it works really well, but I'm having issues being forced to monitor my Mic-track in order to have it appear on the master. As I'm using a couple of effects on that track, I'm getting too much latency which makes it impossible to talk while having to hear it. Is it possible to have the track send its data to the Master without having to monitor it (having the "I"-icon activated)? Tried fiddling with busses already, but no success. I see the level of the track even w/o monitoring, so I hope there is some possibility?

You would only be able to do this if your USB audio interface has more than the basic stereo output pair. Then you use a Send from Track 2 to a Bus with the Bus selected to go to the second set of outputs of your audio interface. The Track direct output will still go to the Master.

Unfortunately there is no way to do that since the latency is caused as much by the audio drivers that are being used by your computer operating system. There are only a couple of ways around this. One is to be using an audio interface with very low latency drivers or to be using an audio interface with zero latency monitoring. However the second option may not work for you since you won't the able to hear the processing that Audition is doing. How is the audio getting into your computer at present? Is your computer a Mac or a PC? Even so you won't be able to get rid of all latency if you really want to monitor Audition's output signal, only possibly lower it so as to be not so much of a nuisance. That is just the nature of digital audio I'm afraid.
