Can't get input right with 3.0.1 and Windows 10

Howdy,

Got a new HP Envy that I'm running 3.0.1 on.  I run a line in from a Behringer board.  On playback, the audio is a touch over-baked, a slight bit distorted.  Looking at the video file in edit mode, it looks like the sound card is clipping or compressing it at around -10db on only one side of each channel.  I'm thinking is has to be an audio hardware setup issue, but cannot find a solution.  Anyone got anything on this?
