Question

Can't hear track from card

I have always sung karaoke by playing the audio track and the microphone track, but to be able to listen well while singing, I need the headphone to be connected to the M-AUDIO TRACK II card as well as the microphone. With the headphones I hear what I speak with the microphone but the sound of the mp3 track is not heard when I hit play inside audition 2022. I have tried all the audio hardware options that appear there until the track is heard but no I get it, and I know I did before. Let's see if you can help me because it drives me crazy. Thanks

Check to make sure your audio isn't on a channel other than the regular 1/2 stereo pair.

Is it possible that it was routed to a channel that you're not seeing (hearing) in your project?

My track is in the same place that I have always put it, that is, I enter a
multitrack session, import the track in mp3 and drag it to the first track.
Inside it, then they see the configuration of input and output, that is
where the problem must be, because if I connect the output to the
headphones of the laptop, it sounds perfect, but the problem arises when I
connect the headphones to the headphone output of the laptop. MAUDIO card.
It is curious because the headphones on said card work well because I have
done the hardware test and, in addition, it is heard when I speak through
the microphone that is also connected to said card. But when I play
AUDITION to the track in mpr, NOTHING IS HEARD with the earphone connected
to the card. As for routing to a channel that I'm not watching... I don't
    understand what you mean.

You need to route the output from your mp3 file directly back to the Maudio card, and you have to make sure that the mixer control on it is set so you can hear both the track and the microphone. You might need to change the driver class in Audition to ASIO in order to get this to work, but I would have thought that with a single track, the MME driver would work okay. You can't use an output to the Maudio and the internal headphone socket on the laptop at the same time, though.
