Can't move seletions in spectral frequency view.

Hi. I can't resize my selections in spectral frequency view. Sometimes it's available and sometimes it's not. Toggling with shift z doesn't work either. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Which version of Audition are you using and on what operating system? Which Tool are you using to make the selections in Spectral Frequency view? Does the mouse cursor change to the little white hand icon whilst hovering over the selected audio?

Ry...thanks for your reply. I'm using the square select tool and/or the paintbrush tool. I have the latest version of Audition on Windows 7 Professional. When I select, there is no hand. BUT... sometimes there is, and so is the resizing option... and sometimes not! Is there an option in preferences? If so, maybe I turned it off. When it is available, I try to see what I did differently, but there is only one way I select. Thanks!

>>> Update: I just opened a wav file from this site to practice restoration, and low and behold, the selection was able to be moved and resized. Still don't know why it's intermittent.
