Can't Open Loopology .cel Loop Files?

I just tried to load my old Loopology stuff and installed it just fine. But I can't seem to be able to open any of the Session Files, which are .cel files.

Is there something specific I need to do? Or does this not work with the newere versions of Audition?

UPDATE: I CAN get the .cel files into AA. I have to drag them in, but it works. HOWEVER, I really need to open the session file associated with one of the loopology sessions. The file extension is .ses though.

Anyway, when I try to open the .ses file I get this error: "Error: Media Foundation reported an error when opening the file. The byte stream type of the given url is unsupported."

I even tried changing the file extension to sesx. But I got the same error. Is it not possible to open these older session files?

You need Suitespot's ses2sesx utility. You can get this from the Adobe exchange. Alternatively, I believe that if you have Audition 3, you can open the ses file in it and resave it as sesx (would need that confirmed). The ses and sesx formats are completely different, the latter being an .xml format.

Hi Steve,

I justy reinstalled version 3.0. But it's only good for 30 days since I only had the disk. But you are correct that I WAS able to open the .ses file in 3.0 perfectly. But I don't see a way to save it as an sesx file. So I don't think that is doable. My only choices under Save As are Multrack Session (*ses) or XML. I'll try the utility and report bacik. Thanks!
