I used adobe audition for about 2 years , i have never encountered these problems before. I have setted all audio hardware correctly, but suddenly it just can't record the audio and even i can record audio, it is stuttered and shortened which has showed in the video.

😞

In your hardware settings, what is the latency (or buffer) value set to?

Thanks for your reply. It's 200ms (latency)

That should be fine - but it's the first thing to check, regardless. Now you need to find out what it is that's stealing processing cycles on your machine. First thing to consider is whether anything major has changed recently. You haven't said whether this is on a Mac or a PC, but Windows updates can bring everything to a grinding halt for a while - they get absolute priority. So does Wifi polling. Another thing to check is antivirus software - if that is performing a scan, it can cause difficulties too.

Whilst all the recent updates to Audition appear to work fine - even on this rather long in the tooth laptop - it's possible that this may not necessarily be the case for everybody. It might be worth trying a roll-back to the previous Audition release and seeing if the same thing happens...
