Hey guys I am using Adobe Audition for making rap, and I wonder if a laptop with these specs can run adobe audio and the mackie onyx soundcard without any problems:

Intel Core i5-7200U-processor 8 GB DDR4 RAM, 256 GB SSD-disk

You don't mention your version of Windows but it needs to be 64 bit--probably Windows 10 Pro in this day and age.  I have an i7 processor but know of many people running on an i5.

You don't mention a HDD in addition to your SSD--you'll likely want additional storage as the track count goes up.  I use a USB3 external HDD for this.

One thing to consider, once you get into hard core mixing, a second (large) monitor will make your life a lot easier.  It's worth checking that you can do this with a VGA output (or HDMI if the video card allows for two separate feeds).

Finally, you may eventually decide to add extra RAM but see how you get on with the 8 before spending the money.

I will probably work on one record at the same time or buy a network hdd later on.

I also got a monitor to hook it up to in my studio.

But will I get record issues with only 8 gigs of RAM?

It is win 10, however I do not know if its 32 or 64.

Depending on your network it might be a bit slow for mixing work. Disk access plays a big part in how fast/efficient your work will be--and you'll be surprised how fast you can eat up 250 gig. However you can try it and see

Your 8 gig of RAM should be fine to get you started If your track count or number of effects gets really big you can always throw in extra RAM if you find things slowing down. FYI I frequently do 16-24 tracks on 8 gig.
