CC2020 Keeps Asking Me to Sign In, Wants Me Buy or Start Free Trial

I've been using Audition on Creative Cloud for years. Now, when I fire up a session, a dialog box pops up, telling me to sign in, or buy a subscription, or start my free trial. If I close the box, it closes Audition. Also, when I click the Help menu, and then "About Audition," it shows my version as 11.something. What the hell?

Hi Steve,

 

It has happened. Although I bought Audition on the 20th March, it has been telling me for a week now that my TRIAL was coming to an end.

 

Today My, PURCHASED AUDITION, in the middle of a huge time-sensitive project refuses to open because my TRIAL it says has come to an end. Please can you tell me how i get in touch with adobe urgently? I would be very grateful. Also although I have found my audition invoice and proof of the monthly payments, I can not find a serial or key number to quote. Do you know where I should look. many thanks in advance.

The first thing you have to try (and hopefully it's the answer) is to update the CC app itself - this has been known to cause all sorts of odd things to happen when it gets out of date.
