Change Settings of the time selection tool

Hey everyone,

I'm kinda new to Adobe Audition so I've got a little question, which is bugging me. Is there a possibility to change the settings of the time selection tool? Whenever i mark a part it just keeps on reapting. And when i stop the playback it jumps back to the point where it startet and not the moment i stopped it. It's kinda frustrating working this way. Yet i havent seen any options to change this. 😕😕

There are two separate settings under Preferences/Playback for the above plus other options. Also the 'Return Playhead to Start on Stop' option can be changed in the little drop down menu that appears if you right click on the Play button.

If you are new to Audition it is well worth scanning through all the options in Preferences so you get some idea of what is available. Also there are a lot of right click selections that appear all over Audition. So it is educational to right click in various places/pages in Audition to see what is available.

Thanks for the quick answer! The Play button advice already helped me. When i checked the playback options i couldn't find a solution though. :/

Heres a pic of the options (though it's set on german). None helped. Whether i check or unchecked them. :/

The other option that you may have turned on that you don't want is the Loop Playback button on the Transport bar. This is the bent around arrow icon to the right of the red Record button.
