Cleaning a muffled audio clip from a phone recording

Hi, my friend was recording someone for her research. She sent me that clip after coming home and realizing that she can barely hear her interviewee. I am a videographer so she sent me her audio file asking me if I could help. I have Audition CS6 on Win10. I must say that this is out of my league. She said that they were in a private meeting and the phone was on a table. The voices are completely muffled and it's hard to understand anything considering all the background noise. She needs it just for her research, so basically doesn't need quality audio, just to be able to understand the conversation. I've uploaded a part of the clip.

Whatever that is, there appears to be no easy way to listen to this, or download it. You need to put it in something like Dropbox and provide a proper link to the file directly.

But if it's really as bad as you say it is, don't be too surprised if it's not possible to improve it, although we really do need to hear it to confirm that.
