Click and Popping on recordings in Adobe CS6 on MacBook Pro

Hi there, I've just recently had to reload my Audition CS6 onto my MacBook pro after wiping the computer clean. I hooked up my old microphone, AT2020 USB and everything was ok. Got a new Rode NT1-A and an AI-1 interface and when hooked up now produces a clicking and popping on my recordings. I've adjusted the audio input level on the Mac, changed the sample rate from 44100 to 22050 and it's still happening. Anyone have a solution?

Thanks!

Try increasing the buffer/latency size in your Audition audio hardware setup. Since you have a Mac, I can't give you any specific details, but this is always the first thing to try when it comes to otherwise unexplained clicks and pops.

I did have it origianlly set at 16, moved it up to 32 and it's still doing it. I will set it at 64 or should I go higher? Thank you!

Depends what the numbers refer to, but that does seem rather low... Generally, it doesn't matter where you have it set to if it works. It only ever becomes an issue when you are trying to sync multitrack recordings, and even then any issues can generally be got around.
