Clicks on punch and roll in waveform

I am an audiobook narrator and have been recording in multitrack forever, going back and checking every punch in to make sure it sounds okay, adjusting the crossfade, etc. 
My narrator community has told me this is a huge waste of time and to just record in waveform. BUT EVERY TIME I DO, a small click occurs at EVERY punch spot. I've done everything i can think of to eliminate this, but auto healing these takes more time and effort then simply going back to check my multitrack crossings. 
Has anyone ever had this issue? These are what the clicks look like every time I punch in, they are noticeable on the waveform and I can hear them. 

I have it set to snap to zero crossings and I still have this problem.
