Clicks when recording with 2i2

Question

Occasional pops in recording.

Scarlett 2i2 Gen 3. Multiple mics tried. Still get pops that look like this.

Tried different sample rates, different buffer sizes. Switched from ASIO to MME. Still get them occasional. I tried on my laptop and that seemed cleaned so it appears to be something in my desktop setup, not the Scarlett.

Any though on cleaning it up?

It's easy enough to clean up individual clicks with the spot healing tool, but what you really need is to identify the source of them. From the range of things you've tried that haven't affected this, I'd suggest that the source may be external, especially if it's random. So we may be talking about electrical interference getting into the computer's power supply. All it takes is something like a fridge on the same mains circuit to cause small clicks on some systems. So it may be worth rearranging the power feeds, and possibly getting an in-line mains filter to see if that improves things.
