clip overlap SUDDENLY does not result in cross fade - never before

Everything else in the show DOES crossfades, even the other end of the same clip.

Auto crossfades ARE enabled.

OSX 10.12.6

Have you checked that they are enabled on both clips? It only takes one of them disabled to stop this, and generally it's not the one you're looking at...

Every clip on my timeline does a cross fade EXCEPT the front end on ONE clip. Tail will crossfade too.

Also still cannot post images here.
