Connecting EWI to Audition?

Can anyone tell me if there is a way to connect my Akai EWI5000 (electronic wind instrument) to Adobe Audition (22.6.0.66), in order to record with it, on Windows 10, please?
I have connected the EWI to the PC, via the USB port and it is being recognised as a microphone. But, no sound input is visible on the track meter, when I play it.
Any suggestion about what interface I might need to add, or settings changes I need to make would be very welcome.

Thank you. Stephen

You have to use the 1/4" audio jack to record an EWI 500 via a sound device into Audition (either internal or external) - Audition has no MIDI capability at all, so this is your only option.

From the manual: "EWI5000 comes with a built-in 1/4-inch output for connecting it directly to PA systems and a 1/8-inch headphone output for practicing privately."

Hi,

as Steve explained the EWI5000 could not be used as a MIDI-Interface for Audition. You have to use the "real" Audio that comes out of the instrument. I suggest to test out both the 1/4" Audio Jack for the PA System and the 1/8" Headphone Output depending on you Audio Interface. Sometimes one of those has a lower Gain and it can be difficult to get good levels. Hope that helps.
